UrbanGro & Truth Black
To further their mission, UrbanGro has teamed up with Truth Black Agrihouse, a South African female-led company to offer educational programs to the youth of South Africa. Together, they will educate schools throughout the country on the importance of sustainable farming practices, like permaculture, and the benefits of farming aquaponically on either small or large scales.
The TruthGro partnership represents an exciting step forward for sustainable agriculture in South Africa educational landscape and has the potential to make a significant impact on the future of food production in the country.
Permaculture, is a holistic approach to farming that emphasizes working with nature rather than against it. It involves designing systems that mimic the natural ecosystem, with a focus on maximizing biodiversity, reducing waste, and promoting soil health
By teaching these sustainable farming practices to young people, the team at TruthGro hope to inspire a new generation of farmers who are committed to protecting the environment and promoting food security. In addition to providing educational programs, they also offer consulting services to help schools and communities set up their own aquaponics and permaculture systems.
